A couple years ago I checked out Post Secret from the library. What a cool concept - people write their secrets on a postcard and mail it in anonymously. It's both hilarious and heartbreaking. I hope that some of those folks get some closure from being able to put their deepest darkest stuff down on paper. And, a lot of the cards are really artistic. You can read new secrets every Sunday here.
Anyway, I did my own Post Secret card as part of another ATC swap. Not telling which one is mine.
This week has flown by, where does the time go? I've been crocheting up a storm, getting ready to open an etsy shop of my very own. I'll put some pics up here once I get the film from my camera developed. Yes, I am using my dinosaur camera for now. I have to say that I like the click click noise of the shutter, my digital camera didn't make that satisfying little sound. Jordan comes home today, it'll be nice to have him home. He's taking a plane so there's no road tripping this time. In the process of putting all of our business stuff in Quickbooks - should be doing that right now, actually. My dear friend Tobi helped me set it up, thank god. My head was spinning at first but I think I've got it down now.
The concert last night was awesome! Brett Dennen was amazing, put on a great show. It was a small venue, which was very cool. Love him even more now.
And this talented local gal opened up for him:
All in all, a great date night! But, maybe I shouldn't drink tequila. Or eat fiery wings at 11:00pm. I'm just thinking...
Shane has been gone since Friday, camping and kayaking with the crew. Jordan is still in the Bay Area, and last night Hannah and Evan spent the night with their friends - so I was home alone. All alone - that almost never happens, especially not overnight. I was pretty lonely and weirded out last night, but waking up this morning to a quiet house was mighty fine. Had a nice morning, drinking coffee and watching the news (instead of Spongebob), and doing some scrapbooking:
Missing you around here already! Although you would still be in bed right now if you were home, and you probably are anyway, but I ramble. Enjoyed our little road trip yesterday - a little Atmosphere, some Monster Magnet, and of course, the Femmes. By the way, neither of us had it right:
Have a great time in the big city, don't miss your buggy little sibs too much. See ya next week!
